LAST INTERNATIONAL BREAK OF THE YEAR
Felber back with the Nati
Not called up during the last meeting, Laura Felber returns to the Nati list for the last two meetings of the Women’s Nations League. Sandrine Mauron is also one of the players called for the gathering. The Nati will be led by Reto Gertschen, new interim coach after the departure of Inka Grings. Switzerland, last in its group, will try to raise its head and grab its first points in the last two matches which remain to be played. The Nati will host Sweden this Friday December 1 at 8 p.m. in Lucerne before traveling to Italy on Tuesday December 5 at 7 p.m.
Inês Pereira and Joana Marchão with Portugal
As usual, Francisco Neto trusted Inês Pereira and Joana Marchão for the Portugal rally. Despite the two defeats conceded against Austria, Portugal still has a card to play to finish in second place in their Women’s Nations League group. However, the task will not be simple. The “Navegadoras” will first have to overcome Norway this Friday at 7 p.m. before creating an exploit on Friday December 5, at home, against France. At the same time, the Portuguese will have to hope that Austria does not score more than one point in two games.
Jelencic summoned to Croatia
Croatia, currently third in its group in League B, will host Slovakia this Friday, December 1 at 6 p.m. before traveling to Romania for its last match of the year.
Double confrontation against Uganda for the Lionesses of the Atlas
Imane Saoud and Elodie Nakkach are once again part of the Moroccan selection for this gathering. A “lighter” gathering since the Moroccans will face the Ugandan women’s team twice in a friendly match.
Muratovic called up with the Nati U19s!
As at the last rally, Amina Muratovic was called up to the national under-19 team. Switzerland will complete an internship in Spain with two matches at stake. The Nati will face Denmark in a friendly on Friday December 1st then Spain on Monday December 4th.
