Fenugreek seeds have been used since ancient times as a dietary supplement due to their restorative powers and abilities to stimulate digestion.

In 1919 research shows that fenugreek seeds also contain natural steroid substances. Subsequent studies confirmed the presence of at least 12 different saponins, the main of which – diosgenin and its isomers – yamogenin, gitogenin and tigogenin. All these saponins are furostanols, i.e. have an anabolic effect and can be used in sports to increase muscle strength and mass, leading to improved training performance. Furostanols are important for athletes also because they stimulate testosterone production and enhance spermatogenesis. Testosterone also plays a key role in sperm production, as well as improving overall reproductive function and post-workout recovery. From a sports nutrition perspective, furostanol saponins have another important effect – increased testosterone levels increase also muscle protein levels, which turn to an even greater increase in muscle mass and strength. An important addition is that diosgenin helps to normalize cholesterol levels.

Ecdysterone is a phytosterol, one of the main components in spinach extract. Ecdysterone is a very important component with an exceptional effect, helping to achieve the maximum of the genetic potential of every sports individual. The best news is that it has no negative effects on the body and is effective and harmless for both men and women and teenagers.

The curious thing about this phytosterol is that it was first discovered in insects. In fact, it is the insects that rely entirely on it for their survival. Could it be precisely the presence of large amounts of ecdysterone in insects that is the logical explanation for their extraordinary strength to body mass ratio? If we, for example, had the proportional strength of an ant, then we could easily lift a car and carry it easily over our heads for miles.

Ecdysterone can be found in herbs and plants, including spinach, but until recently there was no efficient enough way to extract and isolate it as a separate substance.

Diosgenin is a plant sterol in Wild Yam that has been shown to be an effective substrate for the natural production of steroids (sex hormones) in the body. It acts as a natural and complete hormonal regulator – it maintains a normal level of hormones in the blood in both men and women. Diosgenin is a precursor to testosterone. In addition, diosgenin has a positive effect on normalizing cholesterol levels.

Coleus Forskohlii Extract

The main substance in the Coleus Forskohlii plant is Forskolin. The main effects of taking Forskolin are increasing muscle mass, strength and energy, increasing testosterone levels and reducing fat even without training. Forskolin works in the following way: it stimulates the production of the enzyme adenylate cyclase, which in turn increases the concentration of the cellular mediator – cyclic AMP (adenosine monophosphate). High levels of cyclic AMP stimulate vasodilation (dilation of blood vessels and improved blood flow), improve lung capacity allowing for greater endurance during exercise, increase the release of thyroid hormones and accelerate lipolysis (the breakdown of fat and its conversion into energy). In addition, high levels of cyclic AMP in the testes mimic the action of luteinizing hormone – testosterone production increases and enables muscle mass growth. High levels of cyclic AMP in the skeletal muscles lead to an increase in protein synthesis and, accordingly, to an increase in energy and endurance during training. In addition, taking forskolin will not make you feel nervous or sweaty all the time like most fat burning products. Even with irregular training the results are significant.
