SERVETTE FCCF – FC LUCERNE 1-1 (1-0)

The Grenat, coached for the first time by José Barcala, were held in check by Lucerne.

Servette convinced in the game for this first official outing. Better in all areas, the Genevans came up against the ultra-realism of Lucernoises who equalized on their only incursion of the match into the Servetti area.

Because the Servettians opened the score quickly in this meeting. Quite a symbol, it was Laura Tufo, symbol of the Geneva team, who opened the scoring with a beautiful strike at the very start of the match. José Barcala’s players then copiously dominated this meeting with beautiful technical movements. Unfortunately, they lacked the finish and the right gesture in the famous “zone 3” to kill a match that they should have won.

Nothing important though. The championship is still long and the counters will in any case be reset to zero when it comes time to attack the playoffs at the end of the season.
