This Saturday, the Servettians are chasing the title! The first leg of this quarter-final against FC Aarau Frauen will be played at 5 p.m. at Sportanlage Schachen.
Having just won the Swiss Cup, Jose Barcala’s players are now tackling a double that would be historic. The AXA Women’s Super League Playoffs begin this weekend for Servette FCCF! The Servettians face FC Aarau Frauen in the quarter-finals, in a home-and-away series. The first match will be played in Aargau at Sportanlage Schachen, this Saturday at 5 p.m.
After vying for first place in the regular season, the Grenat have only one goal: the title! A national title that has eluded them for two seasons now, but the players are ready and determined. However, you should not skip the steps and make sure you are 100% on each outing. In a championship that gets tougher every year, there are several teams capable of lifting the trophy at the end of the season. The team that can best handle pressure and raise its level of play at the right time will triumph. Jose Barcala and his staff must build on recent success in the Swiss Cup to prepare their players for the challenge ahead of them.
In the quarter-finals of the 2023-2024 Playoffs, Servette FCCF faces FC Aarau Frauen. The Argoviennes finished the season in 8th place with a total of 9 points in 18 matches (2 wins, 3 draws and 13 defeats). The two teams have faced each other twice this season, for two Geneva victories (0-3 and 3-0). This quarter-final has a taste of déjà vu since last year, at the same stage of the competition, the poster was the same. The Servettians won 4-0 then 8-1 to qualify for the semi-final. A performance that the Garnets want to repeat.
The return match will be played at the Stade de la Fontenette on Saturday May 4 at 7 p.m.! Servette FCCF will need its audience to advance in these Playoffs.
