Servette FC hosts Yverdon this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. for its third Super League match of the 2024-2025 season.
After victories against Lucerne away and YB at home, the Grenat return to their home at the Stade de Genève with the reception of Yverdon. An opponent who caused a lot of trouble for the Genevans last season. Against the Yverdonnois, the Grenat only won one confrontation in three games. A negative record that Thomas Häberli’s men will try to correct to collect a third consecutive victory in the championship.
As for Yverdon, the start of the season was not the one desired. The Vaudois lost at home for their first outing of the season by a score of 2 to 0 after a crazy end to the match. In added time, Yverdon got a penalty that Kevin Carlos was about to take. VAR then intervened to cancel the penalty and… send off Tijani (who will be suspended today) for a last-ditch foul on a Zurich player!
The Grenat will therefore try today to win a third consecutive victory for their start to the season, a feat, in the Super League, that has not been achieved since their 2003-2004 season and victories against Wil, Zurich and Thun.
