Servette FCCF is playing its second match of the season this Saturday in Rapperswil (6 p.m.). After a difficult first match, the Servettiennes have the opportunity to raise their heads and take their first points in the championship.

The matches are coming thick and fast for the Genevans and they will have to quickly digest the defeat suffered in St. Gallen (1-0) during the first league match. It is not an ideal start to the season but it will be interesting to see how the group will react to this first challenge. Facing them, FC Rapperswil-Jona will try to follow up after a solid performance against Lucerne (1-0 victory). The Swiss-Germans had only won two matches last season and they had to fight to keep their place in the elite. But this Saturday, they will be waiting for the Servettiennes, and they will have confidence in their camp!

On the Servette FCCF side, there is not much missing to find the back of the net. José Barcala’s players lacked success in the final move and it is especially in this area that they will have to find solutions. Sandrine Mauron, Therese Simonsson and Rimante Jonusaite had many opportunities but they did not manage to convert their actions. If the Genevans manage to score quickly, they will remove some pressure on their shoulders and they will be able to play their game.

The team must deal with several injured players but the group is of sufficient quality to overcome this situation and get results. This is the challenge facing the Servettiennes this weekend.
