Servette FCCF did not succeed in its return to the Stade de Genève. 0-3 defeat against FC Zurich Frauen.

Nothing went as planned on this sunny Saturday afternoon in La Praille. Faced with a solid FCZ, José Barcala’s daughters did not find the solutions to the proposed low block.

The first half is quite tight with two teams watching each other and not wanting to take any risks. The Servettians know that they will finish in first place whatever happens and the Zurichoises must look for a result to secure second. It is the latter who will light the fuse by Pinther at the hour mark. From this moment on, the Genevans will be more enterprising and try to outflank their opponents. At the end of the first period, they were more insistent and increased their attacks on Benz’s goal. Without success, 0-1 is the score at the break.

The start of the second half starts again on the same basis. Servette creates many opportunities, notably through Saoud who loses his face-to-face against Benz then hits the slat on a cross from Korhonen. Just when we think that the Servettians are going to pass the shoulder, they are surprised by a counterattack.
